The Most easiest way to express
Human Feelings is Poetry. One Can Express all of its feelings by using
Few Words with deep Intentions.
There is Joy in Poetry that
needs to be spread. Urdu Poetry, In Partucular, is a Treasure that has
not been fully Discovered mainly by our English-Oriented Intelligentia.
No other Creative Expression has the same capacity to Explore and Define
our collective experience and our intimate longings as individuals.
Poetry, it is now recognized, has also a Therapeutic effect. Often,
when worn out with overwork, sorrow or anxiety, we may pick up a
collection of Good Poetry and Feel the Gradually Roll Away...!!
We have a Large List of Urdu Poets who have done Great Job in this
Field. Particularly, Akbar Allahbadi, Mir Taqi Mir, Mir Dard, Allama
Iqbal, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Josh, Ahmed Faraz, Isha Jee, Wajid Ali Shah,
Nazir Akbar Abadi, Nasir Dehlvi, Azad, Hali,Perveen Shakir,Fehmida Riaz,
Iftikhar Arif, Jaun Elia, Munir Niazi, Nasir Kazmi, Noom Meem Rashid,
Hafeez Jalandhri....and this List Goes on there is no limit. This
sub-continent has produced Good Poet, Great Poets.
Its jas
to be noted that the History of Urdu Literature is overwhelmingly the
history of Urdu Poetry. Since our focus is on Pakistan's Urdu Poets, we
need Not linger on a past that is surely lit by some exalted names. By
